  1. Gemma Collins has hypnotherapy for weight loss

    Posted on

Gemma Collins has been talking to Phil Schofield and Amanda Holden on ITV's This Morning about having hypnosis to help her lose weight.

She explained that hypnosis isn't quite what people think and that she was aware of everything that happened. She was able to deal with her issues around emotional eating and explained that "This has given me my life back". It's always good to see someone in the public eye talk about how it feels and showing you that it isn't something to be feared but is actually just a lovely relaxing feeling that can help you in so many ways.

She even said "I couldn't put a price on this and what happened. All I can say is that I used to fantasise about going round a food store, yesterday I walked around and just walked out"

I feel like a Million Dollars

In three months she has lost 3 stone and explained that she feels "A Million Dollars"

She even waxed lyrical about how she is exercising more. When Phil Schofield asked her about walking out ot "I'm a Celebrity" last year she said that after the changes she has experienced she really thinks that if she was to be in the jungle now it would be a much more positive experience.

Some have speculated that this is the next step in her media career and she is looking at appearing in the next series of Celebrity Big Brother. We will have to wait and see if she is one of the names in the frame for the Channel Five series when it returns !

Actress and presenter Claire Sweeney has joined the growing list of celebrities who are learning that hypnotherapy can help them to achieve what they are looking for in life.

Last September her son Jaxton was born and since then she has spoken about how she has had struggles with her weight.

She spoke to Closer magazine all about her life and was more than happy to talk about the fact that she has struggled to stop eating chocolate. She found that she was increasingly bingeing on suagr based snacks.

She described the feeling of being hypnotised as “Like having a good night’s sleep. It was so relaxing”

So often we can have a sweet tooth and find that we reach for a sugary snack when perhaps we don't really need it. Would having a glass of water, or some fruit be a better idea I wonder?

Maybe it has just become a habit, or maybe there is some other emotional reason for eating. Whatever the cause, it is great to see that Claire Sweeney has taken advice and help and used hypnotherapy to help her turn down that craving.

When I work with my weight loss clients I know that often their favorite part of working with me is when we just turn down that craving for something they want to cut down. It is often the part they really enjoy finding out about the most.

The best part, is that just like she says, it's a really relaxing experience and that's something we can all benefit from too.
