Compton Verney Spectacle of Light Review
January always seems to be the darkest month. Christmas and New Year have come and gone, the heating is cranked up as high as you can afford and the nights are still dark. What better time then to try and bring some light into your life and the Compton Verney Spectacle of Light does exactly that.
Running from Friday 26th January until Sunday the 18th February It is a chance for a gentle stroll though some imersive light installations and some good food too.
Described as..
The Beautiful After-Dark Experience for all the Family!
Spectacle of Light will be returning for its third year with brand new installations like the remarkable Wave and other immersive pieces from the team at Squid Soup that brought us Submergence last year. Come and discover the night-time wonder of Compton Verney through an enchanting spectacle of light and sound.
Eats and Treats
Sip delicious hot chocolate as you meander along this beautiful trail. Take a moment by the house to tuck into scrumptious street food from Digbeth Dining Club.
Don’t forget to head inside, and enjoy a range of drinks from our fully stocked bar throughout the evening to help quench your thirst!
One of the great things about this experience is that there are not as many people as you sometimes find. This means that as the whole park is used you can really enjoy taking your time and seeing everything that you want. You don't have to queue and everyone just seems to naturally spread out which means that you can spend as much or as little time as you wish in each part of the light show.
Sound and Light
One of the things that Compton Verney does really well is installations that use sound and the Spectacle of light is no different. There are times when you can feel completely immersed in the soundscape as well as watching sweeping lights around you, and the atmosphere is something that you really can't describe. You have to be there to experience it.
If you are looking for something different to do this January then a trip to Compton Verney and a chance to take in the light and sounds is a wonderful thing to do.
